Categories
Strictly necessary
Needed for the site to work at all — staying signed in, keeping your basket, and remembering that you passed the research-use entry screen. These cannot be switched off, and none of them are used to advertise to you.
Analytics
Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are used and what is broken. Off unless you turn it on; nothing analytics-related is loaded before then.
Advertising
The Meta and TikTok pixels, used to measure whether an advert led to a visit. Off unless you turn it on.

Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of analytics and advertising and act on it before anything loads — you do not need to do anything else, and we do not show you a cookie banner, because the answer is already settled. GPC takes precedence over any choice made on this page. We support it because California's CCPA/CPRA requires it, and our Privacy Policy says we honour it.
Changing your mind
Use the controls above, or the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. Clearing your browser's cookies for this site also clears your choice, and you will be asked again on your next visit. Turning a category off stops us loading anything new in it; cookies a third party has already set are removed through your browser's own settings, which is the only place we can reach them.
